Child Safety & Parental Duty
Guidelines for supervising minors and protecting their data within the cognitive environment.
01.Platform Nature
Qurio is not an educational service, childcare service, tutoring platform, or age-certified environment.
Outputs are generated by third-party artificial intelligence systems and may not be suitable for all ages without active supervision. Qurio is designed as a tool for parents to facilitate thinking, not as a substitute for parental guidance.
02.Age Limits & Account Architecture
We enforce strict account hierarchies to ensure financial and developmental safety across the platform.
Sub-Profile Creation (18+)
Only adult accounts (18+) may create and manage "Child Profiles." Users under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from creating sub-profiles beneath their account.
Payment Block (Under 13)
Users under the age of 13 are strictly prohibited from making purchases, upgrading plans, or executing financial transactions on the platform.
03.Child Data Protection
We treat a child's cognitive data with absolute maximum security. When a parent creates a Child Profile, the following protocols are automatically enforced:
- Aggressive Data Minimization: We ask only for a display name (or alias) and age to calibrate the AI reasoning engine. We never collect a child's phone number, email, or physical location.
- Cryptographic Isolation: All child chat logs are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and secured via Row Level Security (RLS) in our Supabase databases. Only the authenticated parent account can view the child's thinking journey.
04.Parental Duties
By permitting a minor to use the platform, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for:
- •Determining whether Qurio and its underlying AI models are appropriate for your specific child's emotional and cognitive development.
- •Actively supervising usage and helping the child interpret AI outputs, especially in cases of AI "hallucinations" or factual inaccuracies.
- •Setting clear boundaries, screen-time expectations, and rules for platform use.
05. Disclaimer of Warranties
Qurio does not guarantee age-appropriate, accurate, safe, or complete outputs for minors. The platform does not assess the emotional, cognitive, or developmental suitability of content generated by the AI.
Qurio expressly disclaims all liability arising from a child’s access, interpretation, reliance, or misuse of any output generated through the platform.
Use by a minor constitutes acceptance of these terms by the Guardian.
